Our first Christmas market has been hailed an enormous success, drawing thousands of visitors to our historical Cornish attraction. Despite the less-than-favourable conditions, we saw a record number of people in our venue, and there was a festive buzz around the whole site.
We had 26 stallholders showcasing a wide variety of fantastic local products. From local vodka and rum to artists, pottery, candles, prints, wooden creations, clothes, soaps and charities such as Age UK Cornwall and the Cornwall Wildlife Trust – the market had something for everyone.
Working closely with the local community, we loved having the Treleigh School Choir perform some magical songs in our Cornish Pantry. Father Christmas also made several appearances over the four days. Children could spend time with the man himself before writing and posting their Christmas wish list letters.
We are proud that our market offers a unique opportunity to enjoy Christmas shopping while immersed in Cornish history.
Alongside shopping and free family fun, our award-winning Cornish Pantry served hundreds of hot chocolates, giant pigs in blankets, festive chips and all our other delicious dishes from our winter menu. We were thrilled that visitors were blown away by the experience on offer.
In addition, the local press and community were excited about our first event, and there was fantastic coverage and support on Visit Cornwall, Visit Newquay, Cornwall 356, Cornwall Live, Rewind Radio, Yahoo News and The Primary Times.
With the Christmas Market already confirmed for 2025 and the new event room available for hire, anyone interested in having a stall can fill out this form here.
